Dynamic Card Management — Virtual Cards Push to new Concur Travel

To help streamline travel booking and strengthen spend governance, approved virtual cards can now be added directly to an employee’s Concur Travel profile for use during booking. This enhancement connects Concur Request, Concur Expense, and Concur Travel into a unified workflow, allowing your users to request a virtual card, receive approval, and then seamlessly use that card to pay for supported travel segments like air and hotel.

These features are available with no additional activation required beyond existing virtual cards and workflow prerequisites. For more details, view the release notes .

Receipt Updates for Microsoft Teams Integration

To help streamline the expense report process and allow your users to stay within the apps they know and love, receipts for expenses can now be uploaded using the Attach File feature in the SAP Concur for Microsoft Teams app within Microsoft Teams, automatically adding them to the Available Expenses or Available Receipts library in Concur Expense. Approvers can also view receipts in Teams while reviewing reports, decreasing the need to collect receipts and reducing the need to switch applications.

Joule Selective Access: Pilot Enablement

With Pilot Mode, only users added to the Joule Pilot Users group will see the Joule diamond icon and have access to Joule features, giving you a controlled environment to test functionality and gather feedback before expanding access more broadly.

Pre-Spend Planner Feature for Concur Expense

To help your users plan trips more efficiently and reduce manual effort, SAP Concur introduced Pre-Spend Planner. This AI-powered tool automatically generates cost estimates for flights, hotels, meals, and other trip expenses based on user inputs and preferences, helping remove guesswork from the planning process.

Users can quickly create a trip plan, review estimated costs, adjust preferences, save or delete the plan, and easily share it with managers or colleagues.

Pre-Spend Planner is automatically available to Concur Expense only customers at no additional cost and requires no configuration. For more details, including how to use this feature, view the release notes and the SAP Concur Community.

AI-assisted Configuration for Custom Audit Rules — Professional only

To help you create and manage audit rules more efficiently, SAP Concur implemented AI-assisted configuration for Custom Audit Rules. This new feature, embedded in Concur Expense at no additional cost, lets you search, understand, and generate audit rules using plain language, reducing setup time, minimizing errors, and decreasing dependency on support teams.

All AI-generated rules are created inactive by default, giving you the opportunity to review, edit, and test them before turning them on in your environment. ExpenseIt

AI Enhancements to ExpenseIt Hotel Itemizations for Existing Entries

You told us hotel itemizations in ExpenseIt were not always reliable. In response to your feedback, users with ExpenseIt enabled can now upload a hotel folio to an existing hotel expense, whether sourced from a credit card, e-receipt, travel reservation, or manual entry, and ExpenseIt will automatically create itemizations using AI-based extraction.

This enhancement reduces manual effort by breaking out room rates, taxes, and fees automatically, while preserving existing details, and all itemizations remain fully editable, giving your users both automation and control.

This enhancement requires no configuration and is available now for Standard Edition customers, with Professional Edition planned for April. For full details, view the release notes .

TripIt and TripIt Pro

Image to Plan with Apple Intelligence

To help travelers organize trip details more effortlessly, TripIt Pro users can now add new travel plans to their itineraries using a photo or PDF file such as tickets, reservation confirmations, event flyers, without relying on confirmation emails or manual entry. Once the file is selected, on-device Apple Intelligence translates the content into a Travel Plan added to your traveler's itinerary.

Unlike many competitors that rely primarily on confirmed bookings via email or limited import tools, TripIt accepts a wider range of plans from countless vendors, more languages, and local/regional providers (e.g., event, ferry, parking, or receipts) simply by capturing an image. This delivers broader coverage and greater flexibility for real-world travel needs.

The feature is automatically available; just ensure your TripIt app is updated to the latest version. Apple Intelligence is available for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. For more information and upcoming availability, view the release notes .

Policy assistance: policy tips for business trips

To help prevent policy violations, Policy Assistance boosts employee policy awareness by surfacing helpful, AI-generated policy tips at the right moments. After you upload your company’s T&E policy documents, generative AI suggests tailored policy tips that you can edit or replace. You can choose when employees receive these tips, during travel booking, via mobile alerts on the day of travel, or within their expense reports, ensuring guidance appears exactly when it’s needed.
