Access to Analytics is controlled by two types of permissions. Your SAP Concur administrator assigns these based on your role in the organization.
If your name appears as a manager in the system for at least one user, you will have access to Analytics and can view the data for the employees whose expense reports you approve.
This permission is designed for the CFO or other financial leader who needs visibility across the entire organization. Any user with the Finance Administrator permission can see data for all users in the company.
Users can have both Manager and Finance Administrator permissions. If this applies to you, you will see a View As toggle on the right side of the page that lets you switch between viewing your team's data and viewing the full company's data.
Seeing less data than expected?
If you see less data than expected — or different data than a colleague — it is likely a permissions issue. Check with your SAP Concur administrator to confirm which permission you have been assigned.
To access Analytics and Analytics Essentials, log in to SAP Concur and select Analytics from the main navigation menu. From there, you will land on your dashboard view, where reports and dashboards are organized by category, such as Expense, Travel, and Invoice.
Watch this short overview to get familiar with Analytics:

A few things worth knowing as you get started:
Standard reports are organized by category within the Analytics menu. To run a report, select it from the library and use the available filter options to narrow your results before running. Depending on the report, you may be able to filter, group, and sort by employee, expense type, date range, and more.
Once your report is ready, you can export results as either a PDF or an Excel document, depending on how you plan to use the data.
A few tips for getting more from your reports:
Analytics Essentials users can add Cost Tracking fields to reports to incorporate their organization's custom fields. Keep in mind that these changes are temporary — when you navigate away from the report and return, the Cost Tracking fields will need to be added again, as they do not save.
Analytics users can save a copy of the report with Cost Tracking fields added, preserving your customization for future use. You can also create entirely new custom reports and dashboards, save them, and share them with the rest of your organization.
Actionable Analytics provides automated notifications and alerts based on your expense data, delivered directly to managers via email — making it easy to review and act on key information without having to log in each time.
Analytics Essentials users have access to a subset of alerts, while full Analytics users have access to the full suite. These alerts surface policy exceptions, unusual spending patterns, and other items that may require your attention without you having to run a report manually.
If you have the full Analytics subscription, you can schedule custom reports to run automatically and be delivered to recipients on a recurring basis. This is especially useful for monthly reporting that needs to go to stakeholders without manual effort each time.
Note: Scheduling is available only to Analytics users. Analytics Essentials users cannot schedule reports. Bursting, which automatically delivers filtered subsets of a report to multiple recipients, is not available on either Analytics platform. That capability is exclusive to Intelligence.
SAP Concur Analytics and Analytics Essentials include a library of standard reports and dashboards that provide fast, meaningful visibility into your organization's spending. Knowing which reports are available and what each is designed to tell you is one of the best ways to get more value from your reporting platform from day one.
Expense Overview
This dashboard gives you a clear, at-a-glance view of your organization's spending, expense accruals, and policy exceptions. Use it to quickly evaluate key metrics and compare current spending against previous periods — making it an ideal starting point for any expense review.
Spend Analysis
This dashboard highlights the expenses and expense types that account for the most spending across your organization. It also includes a report tile that, when modified, automatically updates the associated graphic tiles — giving you a dynamic view that adjusts as your data changes.
Billed Transaction Reconciliation Details
This report lists all submitted expense reports, making it easy to match submitted reports to invoices and monitor submission patterns across your team.
Expense Accrual
This report lists both submitted and unpaid expense reports so you can track approval status, identify outstanding liabilities, and anticipate future cash requirements. It is particularly useful for month-end and quarter-end financial planning.
Credit Card Transactions
If your organization uses a corporate credit card feed, this report provides a comprehensive list of all credit card transactions imported into Concur Expense. Use it to track unassigned cards, review transaction subsets, and monitor card activity across your organization.
Allocation Details
This report gives you a detailed view of expense allocations, including cost-tracking fields such as department, cost center, and project. It is especially useful for organizations that need to report on spending by business unit or internal category.
Attendee Details
This report surfaces expenses tied to event attendees — such as meals and entertainment — so you can track attendee spending, total costs over designated time periods, and monitor compliance with regulations such as The Sunshine Act.
Invoice Overview
This dashboard enables department managers to track invoices, view key metrics at a glance, and compare invoice activity with similar time periods. It is a strong starting point for anyone responsible for managing or approving vendor payments.
Invoice Accrual
This report lists all unsubmitted and unpaid invoices so you can stay on top of outstanding obligations and ensure payments are made on time. It is a helpful tool for month-end close and cash flow management.
Invoice Aging
This report provides a detailed view of unpaid invoices, organized by the length of time they have been outstanding. Use it to identify overdue invoices, prioritize payments, and ensure your organization is staying current with vendor obligations.
Not all reports listed here may be visible to every user. Availability depends on which SAP Concur products your organization uses. For example, Invoice reports will only appear if your organization has Concur Invoice and the appropriate permissions assigned to your account.
Tip: If you expect to see a report but cannot find it, check with your SAP Concur administrator to confirm your permissions and which modules your organization has enabled.
