Government Rates for Marriott Hotels

Hi all,

We're getting multiple reports from users that they can no longer see government rates for hotels in Concur Travel. Investigating this, it looks like it may be limited to Marriott brand hotels.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Hello! We opened up a ticket with Concur - #28289420. While I don't know if the issue you're dealing with is the same one we're dealing with, this is what we've been able to find out so far:

1) Government rates aren't loading in Concur Travel for multiple hotel chains. This is not limited to Marriott as we first thought

2) Our Concur consultant has identified an issue with the Sabre GDS API. So, the government rates will appear in the GDS of your travel management company, but they are not being communicated by Sabre to Concur. This is only impacting a limited part of the system, which is why we're not seeing widespread complaints. If your company/TMC uses Sabre, that is the likely explanation for the outage. If you use another GDS, there may be another explanation. Sabre has a team working to fix the issue

@MelissaInDC I haven't seen this reported anywhere else here on the Community. Have you reached out to your travel agency to see if they might have any insight?

Thanks, Kevin! Yes, we've reached out to the TMC as well. So far, we have no insight into why this happened, but we continue to investigate.

@MelissaInDC I would submit a help ticket to Concur Support. Since you reported this only seems to be Marriott, that tells me it is likely an isolated issue.

If you submit a help ticket and hear back from Concur Support, could you please come back here and provide updates, please? Especially if they provide a resolution.

I'll update as I can. I reached out to Concur Support within the first hour of users reporting the issue and they're looking into it.

Hi, I created an account specifically for this issue. I am not seeing government rates for Marriott properties either. I expanded my search and Hilton does not show an actual state/fed government rate, but a "negotiated rate". Government rates are available for properties for both hotel chains on their respective websites.

Hopefully there is a solution to this.

Thank you so much for your response. Our TMC does use Sabre, after checking. Glad to see they're working on it and the fix should resolve my issue as well.
