One of the most common issues new users of SAP Concur have is not being able to login to the tool. Often you are told only that you need to submit your business expenses but might not be provided with any directions on how to do this other than “submit your expenses through the SAP Concur tool”. The first step though, is getting logged in.
Below are some common reasons why you might not be able to log in. We have provided possible solutions or actions that can be taken to help you log in. Your company’s SAP Concur administrator is always the best option for resolving any issues related to the SAP Concur tool. If you do not know who your SAP Concur Administrator is, reach out to your direct manager.
Possible Cause #1
You haven’t been setup with an SAP Concur profile
Action to take: Reach out to your direct manager who can then submit a request to your company’s SAP Concur administrator to get you setup with a profile. Once you are setup as a user in the SAP Concur system, you should receive an email from concursolutions.com letting you know your profile has been created. Follow the instructions in the email to get logged in. The email will contain a link to login for the first time. This link is only good for 24 hours.
How will you know if you have an SAP Concur profile?
There are two ways to know if you have been setup with an SAP Concur profile:
If you do not know who your company’s SAP Concur administrator is, reach out to your direct manager for help.
Possible Cause #2
The link provided in the email notification that my profile has been setup is expired.
Action to take:
Note: If you do not receive the password reset email, you will need to contact your internal SAP Concur Administrator and have them provide you a new temporary password. Once you log in with this temporary password, be sure to change the password to something unique.
Possible Cause #3
I’m receiving a message in red stating that the username or password is invalid.
Action to take: Do not attempt to login more than four times. Your account will lock on the fifth incorrect attempt. Follow the steps above in Possible Cause 2 for using the Forgot password? option to reset your password. If you do get locked out of your account, you should contact your company’s SAP Concur administrator. If you do not know who this is, contact your direct manager. Your SAP Concur administrator can provide you with a new temporary password so you can log in.
If you cannot remember your username, the two most common usernames are: your work email address or your employee ID. The employee ID might need to be followed by your company’s domain (the portion of your email address that begins with @). For example: @sap.com or @Concur.com. If you still do not know your username, contact your company’s SAP Concur administrator. If you do not know who this person is, reach out to your direct manager.
Possible Cause #4
Your company uses Single Sign-On (SSO) and you enter your SSO credentials when trying to access SAP Concur from www.concursolutions.com. Unless your SSO credentials exactly match your SAP Concur username and password, you will not be able to use your SSO credentials to access SAP Concur outside of your company's SSO portal.
Action to take: Use your company's SSO portal to access SAP Concur.
Possible Cause #5
You signed up to be a member of the SAP Concur Community and you tried logging into www.concursolutions.com with the username and password you created for the SAP Concur Community.
Action to take:
Important: The SAP Concur Community is a separate site from the SAP Concur product (www.concursolutions.com) and does not link to your SAP Concur profile. The Community is where you share ideas, interact with peers, post questions/issues and find information to help you use SAP Concur products and features. The www.concursolutions.com website is where you will create and submit your expense reports, book your business travel, submit payment requests, etc.
