Japan Purchase Order Template

Hello,

Our Finance team in Japan Purchase Order Template seems to display a different font text (at the moment it appears that “SimSun” is currently being used for all Japanese word). In Japan, using the “SimSun” font in business settings is not considered appropriate. Does anyone know if Concur has specific font: 

Change the font to 小塚明朝 Pr6N R or 游明朝 instead

I understand that some of the purchase order fields are system defined and unfortunately cannot be updated from the default translation.

Since your question is quite uncommon, I searched online and found the following information:

In SAP Concur, changing the font of system-generated fields in the Purchase Order (PO) template is generally not possible through standard configuration.

1. System-controlled rendering:

Concur’s PO PDF layout is generated by the system, and fonts for system-defined fields (including translations) are pre-set.

2. Default font:

For Japanese or other CJK (Chinese/Japanese/Korean) characters, Concur often defaults to SimSun or another system font.

3. Custom fonts like Kozuka Akatsuchi Pr6N R or Yu Akatsuchi:

• These are not available for selection in standard Concur configuration.
• You cannot simply “switch” the font in the admin UI.

4. Possible approaches if you need a different font:

• Vendor support: Contact SAP Concur to see if they can adjust the template on their side (rare and may not be guaranteed).
• Custom PO solution: Export PO data from Concur and generate your own PO document using a custom template where you can select the font.
