Concur report user credential

We currently have to updated our user credential when the user is no longer active within the organisation.

We would like to explore options to schedule Cognos reports without user credentials please?

@valerieng hello there. I am not quite sure what you are asking. What does "explore options to schedule Cognos reports without user credential" mean?

Thank you,

Hi Kevin,
We currently have scheduled reports which require a user credential. Once the staff leaves the organisation, we need to update all reports with an active uers's credentials.
Are there options to schedule the report without any user credentials?

@valerieng, I agree. Associating a report to anyone that can potentially be gone from the company causes havoc when that report is critical to the operation.

This negatively impacted us recently when our SAP report writer changed positions.

@KevinD, given we have staff leave the organisation and their credentials become inactive. Are there options to schedule the report without any user credentials?

@valerieng So I'm clear on what you are saying...are you saying that User A schedules a report....User A then leaves the company and their profile is deactivated and the Professional Author role is removed from that profile. Once this happens the scheduled report will no longer run. Is that what is happening?

Hi @KevinD ,
Yes, thats the scenario exactly and was wondering if there is any work around or a better way of scheduling reports without having this issue.

Thank you.

@valerieng my suggestion would be to create a dummy profile and give this profile Cognos permissions. That way the credentials would never expire. Other than that, there is no work around that I know of.
