United Premium Seats

United 1K traveler does not get United Premium Seats for free when booking in Concur.  Is this a Concur issue?

@vickiec57 allowing United 1K travelers premium seats is a United policy. SAP Concur is just the search engine that returns available seats. Also, your company might have a travel rule they have turned on that doesn't allow premium seats to appear in searches. I recommend either booking an economy seat to get a seat reserved, then calling United to get moved up. 

Did you try opening the Seat Map when you were doing your booking?

Is this still the case in 2026 with the New Concur site? The seat map view appears to be enhanced from the old site, but travelers with top tier frequent flyer status are not able to select seats that are available on the airline website at no additional cost. What is the best approach here for frequent travelers?

In our case, Concur Travel currently does not support the purchase or selection of paid seats in air bookings processed through the GDS.

What we do is contact the Travel Management Company (TMC) or the airline directly to secure these seats.

I have opened a post in the Concur Community (Enable Paid Seat Selection in Concur Travel (GDS A... - SAP Concur Community) and also submitted an improvement request in Customer Influence to request this improvement (Improvement Request Details - Customer Influence - Enable Paid Seat Selection in Concur Travel (GDS ...).
