Edit Search for Flights - Time frame should stay the same

Hello Concur Team-

When I'm searching for flights that have multiple airports in the area it would be great if when I clicked Edit Search the timeframe I had selected didn't change every time I change the airport.  BTW the slider to select time frame sucks and needs to be put back to selecting the time or typing it in.  The slider is annoying and difficult to use.  Why do you all have to change the entire look of the flight search too?  The matrix at the top was much better than what you have changed it to.  Stop making changes nobody asked for.  It's not helpful and makes you and your product look like you don't listen to your customers.

I spent a half hour yesterday trying to figure out why I couldn't see any morning return flights. WHY did they change this? I was so happy to finally have the "any time" default, and now the whole search process is even more frustrating than it was before! What is this "company configured time policy"? That's the answer I got from Concur support, but I know we didn't put a policy in place. So why is the default now the most ridiculous set of times I've ever seen?!

I am dealing with the same issue. I have flexibility on my travel days, and given my travel across country, the only flights that show up for me are Red Eyes. I have traveled this itinerary many times (3-4 times a year for 3 years) and have never had an issue until now. Why can't I expand my flight times?

The only way I got it to work was to expand the flight times BEFORE I started my search (on the home page). See if that works for you. Why in the world is it only showing you RED EYES?!!? That's crazy!

I have a support ticket in, so we'll see what their latest response is.

The home screen has the flight times greyed out and un-editable for me now; 7-11am outbound departure and 3-7pm return departure, even on weekends.

If you click on the calendar icon next to the dates, at the bottom of the pop up are the time sliders and you can change them there.

@jerielderbsci I'm not on the Travel product team, so I cannot speak to the things you mentioned, but have you tried selecting a city rather than an airport? This way the search will return options for airports near that city which would avoid you having to change airports and running into the issue you mention.

I did a test and entered Dallas to Chicago instead of DFW to ORD. See one example where my results showed a flight from DFW to ORD and then another option of DFW to MDW.

Maybe give that a try and see if it works for you.

The point is that nobody can find the slider to select the time frame they need and the slider makes you click too many times.  You all should put it back to entering the # of hours around the time you select.  Nobody wants to click or tap more times and nobody asked for this change to be made.  Why change things that nobody asked you to and were perfectly happy with the way they were.  More clicking and tapping is not user friendly.  If you're trying to make a product better, maybe ask the folks who use it the most for input before just changing an entire product suddenly.

@jerielderbsci I understand the frustration as I had to learn these changes as well.

I do want to point out that we do speak with our customers and offer a program where not only can they be involved in early adopter programs to give feedback on features to be released, but can also provide what we call "enhancement requests" to let us know what they think will make our products better.

I'd be happy to provide the link if that is something you would like to look into.
