Australia: Error ar-40012 when booking domestic flights in Concur Travel

Hi everyone,

We’re experiencing an issue in Concur Travel Australia when trying to book domestic flights.

The error message appears after selecting a fare:

  • Error: “Unable to Proceed”
  • Message: “This fare is no longer available. Please select another option.”
  • Error code: ar-40012

The flight appears to be available on the carrier’s website (Qantas), but we’re unable to complete the booking through Concur. We’ve seen this occur more than once, so I’m trying to understand whether this is an isolated fare availability issue or something broader affecting Concur/Sabre availability in Australia.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with Australian domestic flights?

If so, could you please share:

  • What caused it in your case?
  • Whether it was related to GDS/Sabre availability, fare class, or pricing
  • Any steps you took to resolve or work around it
  • Whether it needed to be escalated to SAP Concur Support

Thanks in advance for any guidance.
Monica

Hi @monica_daries , thank you for reaching out here. I recommend submitting a case with SAP Concur Support so they can investigate from our end but I also recommend reaching out to the TMC as this error is typically from the GDS. I see there are similar cases reported with error code: ar-40012 but I haven't found one specifically for Australia.

Below are some additional reasons that could cause the Error Code: ar-40012 to be returned in Concur Travel:
*Unable to determine the price for the selected class of service
*Incorrect fare or class of service selected
*The selected class is no longer available in the GDS (Sabre)
*Temporary connectivity issue
*The selected fare basis code is not available when booking the itinerary

Thank you,
Andrea
