I am facing an issue when uploading receipt images to expenses via the Concur API for a client in Japan.
Here's my current process:
- I create an expense entry using the Expense Entries v3 API.
- Then, I use the Receipt Image v1 API to post an image to this expense.
The Problem: The image successfully appears in the Concur UI. However, it is flagged with the following error message: "領収書画像にはタイムスタンプが必要です。(Receipt image requires a timestamp.)".
My client uses Concur in Japan, and I understand this error relates to Japan's Electronic Bookkeeping Act (電子帳簿保存法) requirements for digitized receipts.
My Question: How can I ensure that receipt images uploaded via the Concur API are correctly timestamped or otherwise meet the necessary compliance requirements for Japan?
- Is there a specific API parameter or a Concur configuration setting that needs to be enabled for API-uploaded images to be automatically timestamped or validated for Japanese compliance?
