What’s new in Concur Travel?

The Q3 2026 new Concur Travel release was delivered on September 19th for qualifying customers. With this release, we have delivered key features, content, and innovation including:

  • The AI-assisted delegates dashboard gives executive assistants, delegates, and arrangers a single, intelligent workspace to manage travel, requests, and expenses across multiple travelers. The dashboard helps users prioritize faster, reduce manual effort, and receive more proactive support with AI-powered recommendations and actions.
  • New air content with NDC fares being enabled on Sabre (Iberia, Qatar Airways, SAS), Amadeus (LOT), and Travelport (Qatar Airways, Air Canada, Emirates, Lufthansa group airlines).
  • Support for United Airlines paid seats and ancillaries through Sabre NDC, allowing travelers to select and purchase UA paid seats and eligible ancillaries in a single, streamlined booking flow. MileagePlus status entitlements are applied automatically where available.
  • AI-assisted travel filters use natural language to understand travelers’ preferences and automatically surface the policy-compliant and most relevant flight options, reducing search effort while saving time and increasing booking confidence.
  • New rail content with ÖBB (Austrian rail): ÖBB content is now available in the new Concur Travel, via our partner Trainline. Users will be able to shop, book, and manage trips for ÖBB rail content alongside other verticals (Hotel, Car) within Concur Travel, using a modern interface with desktop and mobile parity, which enables them to stay compliant.
  • Joule Booking Agent for rail enables travelers to book trains within Joule using natural language while getting personalized recommendations and in-policy options. This helps ensure greater compliance and provides an enhanced, tailored experience.
  • AI-assisted travel search significantly improves the search experience by helping travelers quickly find the right train station from multilingual, misspelled, city, or landmark-based queries.
  • Recommendations for rail search provides users searching for train options with a new “Best trains for you” section that displays the connections most likely to meet their needs based on criteria such as shortest duration, fewest changes, or lowest price.
  • User supplied hotels enables travelers to manually enter hotel details for either new or existing trips. This feature is currently available as an opt-in on the customer side. With the October 2026 release, this feature is planned to be available automatically for everyone.
  • Guest bookings enables a profiled traveler to book a trip for a traveler that does not have a profile and/or invite a non-employee traveler to the system and book travel themselves or through an arranger. Note: with the September release, the new booking experience will be the default.
  • Meeting Hub (formerly referred to as Third-party Meetings) supports customers with the booking of multi-person travel associated with events and meetings. Customers managing meetings directly in Concur Travel without a partner platform will be automatically enabled for Standalone Meetings in the new Concur Travel with the September release. Customers using a partner platform will be enabled at a later date.
  • Trip change offers the ability to change Travelport car and hotel bookings, depending on rates availability.
  • Car Direct Billing with Travelport: With Direct Billing, payment of rental cars is made easier. By centralizing and automating payment processes, users do not need to provide any credit card details, thus minimizing errors and making expense tracking more streamlined.

Automatic Upgrades

As initially announced in the Release Notes for Automatic Upgrades, Concur Travel is automatically upgrading eligible customer configurations to the new Concur Travel.

  • Automatic upgrades for customers’ eligible configurations will continue through 2026. Upgrades occur by travel vertical (air, car, hotel).
  • Eligible configurations in the Japan market were automatically upgraded on June 23, 2026.
  • Travelport GDS occurred in March 2026 for eligible configurations and markets (dependent upon Travelport + migration which is still ongoing for TMCs and customers).
  • Amadeus GDS was completed in July 2025 for eligible configurations and markets.
  • Sabre GDS was completed in April and May 2025 for eligible configurations and markets.

All timelines and upgrade conditions will be shared on the Community Portal throughout the year.
