What’s new in Concur Travel?
The Q2 2026 product release delivers a new end-to-end booking experience for qualifying customers in India, including access to Cleartrip for Indigo, Spicejet, Air India Express, and Akasa Air content, and the ability to use the new one-way faring capability.
With this release, we have delivered key features, content, and innovation including:
- New air content with NDC fares being enabled on Sabre (Air France, KLM, Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, Air Dolomiti) and Travelport (Qantas, Emirates, Singapore Airlines).
- Virtual Payment for air enables travelers to spend on pre-approved virtual card programs when booking air tickets, including Travelfusion carriers.
- Upgraded rail integration with SNCF (French rail): All existing customers that have SNCF content enabled will be upgraded to the new rail booking experience, with the integration to a single, more powerful aggregator: Trainline.
- SplitSave for UK Rail: UK rail journeys can be automatically split into multiple tickets once the user has selected the split option.
- New direct hotel content through Hotel Connector with the integration of Engine and TSI.
- Booking agent for car rental recommendations in Joule, enabling travelers to book rental cars directly within Joule using natural language while getting personalized recommendations and in-policy options. This helps ensure greater compliance and provides an enhanced, tailored experience.
- AI-assisted trip changes in Joule simplifies travel disruptions by helping employees manage flight, hotel, and car booking updates, checking policy compliance, and providing transparent cost insights upfront—saving travelers time and eliminating unexpected surprises.
Important: Changes to Release Communications – Effective July 2026
After July 2026, quarterly release details for the new Concur Travel will be posted exclusively here in the SAP Concur Community. Customer email notifications about features and functionalities will no longer be sent. Please bookmark the new Concur Travel resource page and the Release Notes to stay informed about upcoming updates.
Automatic Upgrades
As initially announced in the Release Notes for Automatic Upgrades, Concur Travel is automatically upgrading eligible customer configurations to the new Concur Travel.
- Automatic upgrades for customers’ eligible configurations will continue through 2026. Upgrades occur by travel vertical (air, car, hotel).
- Eligible configurations in the Japan market were automatically upgraded on June 23, 2026.
- Travelport GDS occurred in March 2026 for eligible configurations and markets (dependent upon Travelport + migration which is still ongoing for TMCs and customers).
- Amadeus GDS was completed in July 2025 for eligible configurations and markets.
- Sabre GDS was completed in April and May 2025 for eligible configurations and markets.
All timelines and upgrade conditions will be sourced on the Community Portal throughout the year.
