On March 14, 2025, the latest updates for Q1 2025 rolled out for the new Concur Travel.
What’s new in Concur Travel?
The Q1 release of the new Concur Travel is now available, offering new updates, and automatic upgrades.
New Updates Coming with the Q1 product release beginning March 14, 2025:
- Support of new rail content: SBB (Swiss rail), Deutsche Bahn (German rail) content on mobile.
- Support of new hotel content with Hotel Connector: Amex GBT, BCD TripSource.
- Pre-booking approval with Concur Request for web: Users will be able to ask for pre-booking approvals, using Concur Request.
- Request Assistant – pre-trip cost estimates based on travel experience: This new, AI-improved assistant will help travelers estimate costs when planning their trip in Concur Request.
Major content and features released ahead of the Q1 product release, include:
- Support of new Air Content: Travelport+ GDS, now available to all customers after a TMC testing phase conducted throughout Q4.
- Hotel content with Premier Inn: Premier Inn hotel content can now be accessed and booked via the GDS, where users will now have the option to select billback as a payment method.
Note: Access to Premier Inn content through our partner Travelfusion has been deprecated and will no longer be available.
Automatic Upgrades
- As announced in September 2024, eligible customers have been automatically upgraded to the new Concur Travel.
- As of today, there have been five phases of automatic upgrades for eligible configurations using Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS) with points of sale in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, U.K., and Ireland.
- Please note, moving forward Concur Travel will be implementing a new method for Automatic Upgrades that will address all GDSs and markets (with limitations and exclusions still in effect) based on planned scheduled dates through the remainder of 2025. All timelines and upgrade conditions will be sourced here, on the Concur Travel Resource Page” on the SAP Concur Community, throughout the year.

- Seamless interfaces and streamlined compliance are achieved with Concur Request’s pre-booking approval function.

- Customers with Travelport+ can now utilize the new platform for air bookings if they qualify and if their market is available.
