Getting Started as a New Admin: Help Your New SAP Concur Users Embrace the Change

0 1 1,427

It’s human nature: people are often resistant to change, even if it’s a change for the better.  We know that the prospect of learning a new tool or a new process can seem challenging to your users. But we have some tried-and-true ways to make their transition to your new SAP Concur solution a little easier:

Build awareness with a formalized communications plan.

As a first step, download the Initial Login Checklist and launch a multi-channel communications campaign, targeted first at your people managers, then rolled out to all end users. Start with a video or message from your executive leadership on the vision behind the change.

  • Explain why the change is important and what it will help the company accomplish.
  • Discuss how the change will benefit users, with specific examples. How much faster will they be able to submit an expense report? Process an invoice? Get reimbursed? Your SAP Concur team can help you with these metrics.
  • Start collecting success stories from your pilot group or early adopters and share those on a regular basis.

Plan your support strategy to ease the learning curve.

Before you rollout SAP Concur to your employees, think about how you’ll support them after you go live with the solution.

  • Will you provide e-mail or phone support to your users — or both?
  • Do you have power users who could assist with supporting your various locations or departments?
  • Who will be a backup contact for employee and program administrator support?
  • Will you have a resource portal, and how often will you add frequently asked questions, based on the questions coming into support?

Download our Planning Guide for more detailed information on building out a communication strategy, training your users, and measuring your progress.

By keeping your users engaged throughout the rollout, and offering resources and support they need, you’ll enable them to make a smoother transition to SAP Concur — and make your job as an Admin a little less stressful, too.
