Getting Started as a New Admin: Get Your Company on Board With SAP Concur

We hope you’re starting to get familiar with your new SAP Concur solution and exploring its features and functions. However, we know that having the right technology in place is only part of the equation. Creating a rollout and change management strategy that engages your users and drives adoption makes all the difference. The more active users you have, the greater the benefits and efficiencies you’ll see. 

  

Here are some best practices to get you started, as well as a video to walk you through these important steps for a smooth implementation.  

 

Secure Executive Sponsorship.  

Top-down support is essential to: 

 

  • Prioritizing the project. 
  • Removing roadblocks.
  • Letting your users know that this is an important initiative to the company. 
  • Getting business unit buy-in for the change.  

 

Develop your Rollout Strategy. 

Determine if you want to roll out the solution in phases or roll it out throughout your organization at the same time.   

 

  • An organization-wide rollout will help you see solution benefits faster, but may also be more challenging to orchestrate, particularly if you’re in multiple states or have a limited staff rolling out the solution.  
  • A phased rollout enables you to start with a smaller group of users, train them incrementally as they deploy, and make adjustments and tweaks before the full rollout.    

Start Communicating Early.  

The more your front-line managers and users know about what’s coming before rollout, the more comfortable they’ll be with the change. Use these sample communications to help:  

 

  • Start socializing the change early.  
  • Focus on ways the solution will benefit your users, save them time, and make their lives easier. 
  • Identify user advocates who can help you talk up the benefits to their peers.  

With a little planning, top-down support and a clear rollout strategy, you’ll start seeing the benefits of your solutions more quickly, ensure user satisfaction and lay the foundation for continued success.
