Personal Car Mileage

Error: Missing required field: From Location.

The end location registered but the from location did not.

I am unable to edit the from location in two different locations, yet it shows the start address, map and miles.

Any suggestions on how to add the from location?

@rr328489 I am looking at your report. Indeed that is a bit of an oddity. However, there is an easy fix. Go into each entry with the error. Click the Mileage Calculator button. When the mileage calculator opens, click Calculate Route. Let it recalculate then click Add Mileage to Expense. That should then fill in the From Location. Give it a try and let me know if it works.

Thank you,

I do not know how to find the Mileage Calculator button when viewing these reports.  The program does not give me the Mileage Calculator option.  Any suggestions?

Hi @rr328489 ,

If you are not seeing mileage calculator button in your expense form then functionality might have not been enabled for your site.

If functionality is enabled then you will see Mileage Calculator button as shown below in sample screenshot:

If this answers your query, then please mark solution as accepted.

@rr328489 See the screenshot below of your May Expenses report. Simply click on any of the mileage entries to view the details. You'll see the Mileage Calculator right above the Expense Type.

Now, on the off chance you are viewing other people's reports as an approver, the Mileage Calculator option is found in a different spot. You would still need to click on any mileage expense, but the Mileage Calculator option would be found below all the data fields. See screenshot.
