Concur is getting worse. How is that possible?

Is anyone else about to throw their laptop out of the window? Just me? I've been using Concur since 2005. It's been the same garbage, slow program since then. And now with the latest update is it significantly WORSE! It take three more clicks to do the same thing and with every single click it takes about 30-40 seconds to load. I have tried all of the suggestions to increase the speed. It is so incredibly frustrating. Slow, clunky, not intuitive. Took me 20 min to submit two expenses. THIS IS NOT USER ERROR!

Anyone at Concur listening? This is horrible.

I personally think they hired a cruelty artist to design the interface. Mere incompetence cannot explain this app. The designers must have a deep personal loathing for the users. We transitioned to this from a WebTE app that I thought was horrible, but I owe the WebTE an apology.

Both evil and rude  but with the additional connotation that the rudeness was due to malice rather than incompetence. Thus, for example: Microsoft's Windows NT is evil because it's a competent implementation of a bad design; it's rude because it's gratuitously incompatible with Unix in places where compatibility would have been as easy and effective to do; but it's evil and rude because the incompatibilities are apparently there not to fix design bugs in Unix but rather to lock hapless customers and developers into the Microsoft way. Hackish evil and rude is close to the mainstream sense of ‘evil’.

Any alternative I've ever looked at was worse, then ended up being gobbled up by Concur.  Now I don't even bother looking to see what's out there.

I feel like the update they've done this year is the same - making additional clicks to get to different sections of the software, the time between clicks is always a 2 second minimum wait and others have been 5+ seconds.

Have you had any response/luck with getting this fixed?

The process to simply delete a receipt image from an expense requires multiple steps using both the desktop and mobile app.  Oh, and it doesn't work anyway.  If you want to delete a receipt image, well, you can't.  Absolutely unbelievable that they can't figure out a function as basic as deleting receipt.  I've wasted half a day and I'm about ready to smash my laptop.

@JoeNeely hello there. Your statement isn't exactly 100% correct as receipts can be deleted in SAP Concur. If you look at my screenshot, you can see the Remove button to delete the image from the expense entry. 

Now, on the off chance you were referring to not being able to delete receipt images from the Available Receipts section, I took a screenshot of that as well. As you can see, each image has the little trash can icon to delete it. 

In re-reading your post, I'm guessing that you might be referring to taking a picture and uploading it via the mobile app and then trying to delete that receipt image while signed in to the web version. In that scenario, you are correct that the receipt couldn't be deleted unless you go back into the mobile app and delete it. 

I've personally not had issues with removing receipts, but I can understand that an image should be able to be deleted no matter how it was uploaded. I will agree with you there. Not sure it was designed the way it is.

I just wanted to make sure that anyone else who reads this post understands that images can be deleted.

Thanks for the reply.  You are correct that I am using the mobile app to import receipts and then working on the report on my desktop, which I imagine is the most common way the software would be used.  However, I was unable to detach receipts even using the mobile app.  I followed all the steps listed by an actual Concur employee (delete the expense from the report so that it moves to available expenses, open the expenses tab on the mobile app, click on the receipt and select "detach."  Everything worked, but the report did not update on the desktop even after I logged out and back in to Concur.  Then I went back to the mobile app and the old receipts had reappeared.  Perhaps something is wrong on my end, but I am literally unable to delete a receipt image.  This is such a basic function that I should be able to do it effortlessly, with one click, from either the mobile app or the desktop.  It's a ridiculous and frustrating issue.  Regardless, I truly appreciate your efforts to help.

To be more precise, after I detached the receipts in the mobile app I attached a new receipt and moved the expense back to the report.  No matter what I tried, the old receipts remained.
