This is an interactive “Ask Me Anything” event! Meaning, during this event, you will have the opportunity to ask our experts any questions you might have regarding our AI-tool “Joule" in our event thread below. Think of this like a mini-Fusion session where you can chat with our Joule subject-matter experts and gain keen insights simply by commenting and asking them in line (below). They will answer them on Wednesday, February 11th starting at 10:00am Pacific
Some items of importance:
So, get your Joule questions ready and we will see you on February 11th!
I cant get this to add to my calendar. Will I get an email invite?
@pnenes when I click Add to Calendar, my browser downloads the invite file. That may be what is happening with you. You would then need to find your downloads and open the invite to get it added to your calendar. On the file itself, I did a right-click and selected Open With so I could choose Outlook.
I don't know what this even is - I've never heard of Joule, but I very much need to know more, so I hope this event will be dumbed down for those of us who have no clue. 🙂
@almaes we welcome any and all questions regarding Joule. Our experts will be happy to answer anything you want to ask. So, bring your questions tomorrow and get those answers you are looking for. 🙂
@almaes This is the short version: Joule is an AI copilot from SAP that helps users interact with SAP business systems. It uses natural language processing to automate tasks and generate insights. I have included a brochure that explains it more.
Hi @almaes thank you for signing up for this session! Joule is SAP's generative AI copilot. It can provide conversational help and more to users. In case you'd like to know more about it before this event, check out this article posted in our 'What's New in Product' section of the Admin Resources.
Where do we go for this to start?
Hello @bnewhouse - There's no event stream or video associated with our AMA Events. Getting involved and getting your questions answered is as simple as commenting your Joule-related question right in this thread like you've done above.
How can people get Joule added to their SAP Concur?
The first step if you have not set up Joule for any other SAP product is to find the Joule listing in the Concur App Center. I have attached the set up guide that has the next steps that it will take you through.
Who do we ask about our contract terms?
@elleno You can always reach out to your Concur account team or log support cases for any questions including contractual terms. The terms in the Joule check out process are standard for all SAP contracts so our teams are well versed in discussing these.
A question just came in via direct message: "How much does Joule cost?"
There are 2 versions of Joule.
Joule Base is available to all SAP Concur customers at no additional cost.
Joule Premium for Travel & Expense is available as a buy-up. Please speak with your account representative for
more information.
We have been looking into the Verify tool for some assistance with compliance - but are now holding out hope that Joule and Joule premium may help us with some of our policy compliance by helping users with policy related questions right at the time they are working in Concur and creating an expense claim. Our understanding so far is that Joule base would not necessarily accomplish that, but Joule Premium would. There is limited information on the detail on Joule Premium but I am curious if you see that as being a solution to assist with compliance in that Joule Premium could reference our policies when guiding employees.
We are planning to deliver a Policy Navigator feature in our Joule offering. This will allow admins to upload their policy document to Concur and when end users ask policy related questions like "What is the meal limit for my trip" Joule will be grounded on your policy to be able to identify that answer for them. We have designed it in such a way that it will factor in the profile details of the user asking the question to identify the correct response. For example if you have different meal limits for executives vs non-executive or Japan vs US we will be able to provide the the correct answer for each user.
We plan on providing more details on availability at Fusion in New Orleans but it may not require a purchase (wink)
We are looking to incorporate Joule. We want to send out some documentation to our users and would like to highlight the positives to help drive adoption. What are some things other customers love about Joule?
Joule with Concur solutions - This site should help! Customers love how they can conversationally book travel, manage expense reports and suggest itineraries to save time in the T&E process.
When installing Joule - what is the extent that we have to involve our IT Department? How many hours are required and does SAP work with our IT Department during this setup?
