Hello,

We want to put a cap on hotel spend per night, but it was mentioned some cities are more expensive than other cities. Ex NY vs IL.

How have other companies handled hotel limits?

We have a suggested limit per night as a general rule of thumb, but we have to review each expense on a case by case basis.

Have you considered using the GSA per diem rates? All of the research is done for you, and the hotel rates even vary by areas of each state. https://www.gsa.gov/travel/plan-book/per-diem-rates
