Private card expenses when booking a hotel

Hi there,

I would need your advice on the following - in case of my upcoming work trip I am arriving late to the destination and therefore I won't be able to use the physical corporate card of my manager (I am not owning a corporate card) but will need to use my private debit card. Concur doesn't allow me to make the booking using my private card, so my plan is to reserve the hotel not using Concur. In this case, will I be able to still expense my stay after my work trip? Thanks

It is possible to use the manager's card just to guarantee the reservation in Concur, and then pay with whatever card you want when at the hotel. Be advised some hotels do put a hold on extra funds so you need to have enough available for that in your account.

Regarding your exact question, you should refer to your company's travel and expense policy as they decide what is allowed and prohibited to reimburse on personal cards.

@szucsa what @TS1 said is correct. Just because a hotel is reserved with a company card, doesn't mean it has to be paid on that card.
