New issue with Marriot Bonvoy points

So for the longest time, I have always received Marriot Bonvoy points.  Two weeks ago, I had booked a room at a Delta and for the first time this did not show up in my Bonvoy app.  Called the hotel to have it added, no issues.  Now Marriot is telling me it was booked through a third party website and not eligible for points.  I will add I have stayed at this hotel many times booked through Concur with no issues.

Was there a change to how Concur communicates with Marriot that might have caused this difference in treatment?  Will note I have 2 other upcoming reservations which flowed through with no issues.

@fredelkins there hasn't been any change that I am aware of. I would call them again. I've never heard Marriott say that where you book the hotel determines if it is eligible for points. My guess is the person you spoke with might not know.

Now, it is possible Marriott changed their policy, but that seems unlikely and something that would have been communicated out.

Thank you,
Kevin

The message was that the reservation (booked through Concur) was booked through a third party like expedia or orbitz.

I was looking into this, as a recent stay I had booked did not show up on the Marriot app, nor was I credited with the points. I noticed that Concur is now showing search results from third party sites, so even if you are purchasing through Concur, to the hotel it is being booked in Priceline, or Booking.com, etc.  See below screenshot taken from the Concur website showing the Booking.com logo.

Each Concur client, working with their Travel Management Company (TMC), decides the booking options available to their travelers. The company / TMC can configure this within Concur. With some booking options, suppliers may not credit points in the same ways as others.

My company locks who I can reserve with and how I can reserve.  We have agreements with Marriot and Hilton.  My current stay at the same hotel showed up in my app just like all the others.  It was this one booking that created the issue.  Did not show up in the app.  Did not auto get points or the stay credit.
