Re: New Setting that over rides time preference - SAP Concur Community

Late last week we noticed that the site is now overriding the time preferences put in by our travelers.

There is a new message at the top of the page advising they are including flights outside of your search request, so ignoring what times you want or CAN travel! Our policy settings are in place to match times the traveler can travel. If a traveler has to arrive somewhere to attend a meeting a flight that arrives 10 hours after their meeting is not helpful!

@sharon-mcmanus when you say your policy settings, are you saying that your default search for flights is set to a specific time window?

Hi Kevin,

Our out of policy settings are if you do not take the LLF when it is within 2hours for domestic or 5 hours international. With the new Concur override, it is choosing the LLF anytime within the full time search, and offering flights that do not match my search window! I am getting inundated with travelers asking what is happening.

@sharon-mcmanus I'm not clear on something. You said the system is pulling flights that are within the full time search but then you said it is pulling flights that do not match your search window. When you say "within the full time search", what does that mean exactly? Do you have a screenshot you can share showing this?

@KevinD There is a search window default setting that only shows departing flights from 4am - 2pm. It has to be changed every time I search flights, and sometimes simply adjusting the slider works and sometimes it doesn't. Today it did not. Would not go past 2pm and the flight I want departs at 2:30. I don't have the time or patience to try and trick Concur into showing me the flights I want every time I go to book.

@SherriG have you asked your internal travel administrator to adjust these settings? That is the only way you will be able to get a larger search window by default so as not to have to try and "trick" the system.

These default search window is set by your company.

@KevinD According to my company admin, this is on Concur and cannot be changed by us.

@SherriG okay, so SAP Concur would need to know if your company wanted this changed. Your company admin, if they want this changed, can submit a Help ticket to Concur Support.
