Creating Rule Requiring Approval for One=Way Travel

Hello,

Our company is looking to implement a travel rule that would require itineraries with One-Way Segments or Open-ended travel to be routed to our travel team for approval before ticketing.

Our Travel agent suggested that the only way to accomplish this would be to send ALL travel for approval before ticketing.  Has anyone found a more elegant solution for what we assumed would be a common request?

Thanks in advance for the help.

@RbreenDC I just did a double-check on the Travel Rule builder and there isn't any condition for Itinerary is one-way or Itinerary has no return.

So, what your travel agent suggested is the only way to ensure one-way bookings get approval. Also, if a rule is set to Require Approval, the trip will be sent to the traveler's assigned travel approver, not to a designated team. The caveat to this is if the travel team members are assigned as the default travel approvers for each employee. There isn't an option to route travel itineraries to a team, but rather they must be routed to a specific user to be approved. Just mentioning this for future reference or if you decide to take the travel agent's suggestion.

Let me know if this makes sense or you need clarification.

Thank you,
