Can I hide a hotel from Concur Travel?

Hi,

we have trouble with a hotel and wonder if we could like ban or hide it from our hotel search in Concur Travel, so that nobody can book it anymore. What is the workaround in your companies?

Thanks in advance and have a great day.

Best wishes,

Silke

Hello @Silke_

In this post, @KevinD suggests using the "Travel Rule Builder":

@Silke_ yep, totally possible as @cjmarimo mentioned in the post he referred to. 🙂

Thanks a lot for the link to the post. I just tried this and sadly I did not found the hotel chain, therefore I can not exclude (in the Travel Vendor Exclusions tab)

Do you have another hint how to solve this?

Thank you,

Silke

@Silke_ what is the Hotel chain you want to hide? It is a chain and not a specific hotel, correct?

The hotel chain is called "Dormero". At first it was a specific hotel from this chain but now we got further information and looking forward to hide the hole hotel chain.

@Silke_ okay, I cannot say for certain this will work, but it is worth a try. In the Rule Builder when you are choosing the conditions you likely selected Hotel chain is one of [HotelVendorList]. When the list came up you couldn't find Dormero. Instead, try the next condition of Hotel chain is not one of [HotelVendorList]. When you click in the field below that brings up the list, select all the hotels. This should make it so all of the selected hotels will appear and anything that is not one of those chains will not. What you would need to keep an eye on is if there are other chains not in the default vendor list you need to use because they too would be excluded.

You could also try the condition Hotel property is one of [HotelPropertyList]. I thought this would also bring up a list when you click in the field below that appears, but it is a free-form field you can type into. You could try entering Dormero into this field and see if that works.

I would try my second suggestion first. Let me know how it goes.

Thank you,
