@Regina Hello!  Are you referring to a Cognos report or a Processor query?

@Regina Thank you for that info!  I am not sure if you can lock it down if it's a public report.   I am going to tag @KevinD , as he is better at Cognos capabilities!  Kevin, is there a way for her to share a report with certain user's so only they will see it?  (Besides sending the report manually to them)

@Regina In Cognos you cannot hide or make visible reports for certain individuals. My question to you is...is the data contained in the report okay to be seen by all these individuals?

I'll await your reply and then advise from there.

@KevinD Hi Kevin, i created a report for an individual and only would like him to see it.

@Regina because I'm big into options, I'll give you some. 🙂 I am working off the assumption this person has access to Cognos.

1. Create the report, place it in the Team Content folder. Have the user go to the folder, make a copy of the report, then paste it in their My Content folder. Once that is done, you can delete the report from the Team Content. I would suggest having your own copy in your My Content folder as a back up.

2. Save the report in your My Content folder. Then, set up the report to run on a schedule and have Cognos send an email of the report to the user.

If I were choosing, I would go for option 1. That allows for the user to run the report whenever they need to.

@KevinD Thanks Kevin for the options. I dont think he has cognos access but i will arrange this and take your Option 1 up.

Another option would be for you to run the report, download it to your computer, and send the report via email.

@JorgeL I'll do you one better. Run the report and have Cognos send the report to the person via email. Less work that way. 🙂

Awesome! I didn't know that was an option. Thanks for the tip.
