Concur Detect/App Zen is not pulling the in the Merchant name for our BTA transactions.
All credit card feeds and transaction contains both a “TransactionMerchantName” and a “VendorDescription” name for Merchants. The vendor name of a business usually is the corporate entity while the “vendor name” is usually the stores brand which consumers are familiar of. What is happening is when Concur Detect/Appzen ingests the data, instead of pulling the merchant data from the “VendorDescription” field they pull the data from the “TransactionMerchantName” deviating from Concurs practice that reflects the “VendorDescription” fields. When Concur requested the data being pulled by Appzen, the “TransactionMerchantName” displays "No Carrier Provided" .
Per Concur support team’s investigation, we propose a fix to enable Concur Detect/Appzen to pull the “VendorDescription” field values from the credit card transaction’s merchant information.
