Daily Meal Limit Tier Set Up

We're having challenges getting our meal tiers set up correctly in Concur. We've been working with Support and they recommnded we ask here if you're a client that has had success setting up daily meal limit tiers:

1. Do you have tiered real and actual (not per diem) daily meal limits set up in Concur?  If so, how many tiers do you have?
2. Do you have a hard stop daily meal limit for each tier?
3. How do you handle daily meal limits when visiting multiple cities with different city meal limit tiers?
4. Can you share your Concur contact who helped or is helping you with meal tiers? 
5. Do you have any other unique processes you have implemented in your set-up to accomplish daily meal limit tier compliance?

Have you considered using the option of Travel Allowances? If you are in SAP Concur Professional, you can enter your travel allowance/meal limits while traveling and have different rates for different cities. 

Just a thought.

Hi Chris,

You can ask to mimic ours.  We just updated our city rate caps.  Here are my answers:

1. Do you have tiered real and actual (not per diem) daily meal limits set up in Concur?  If so, how many tiers do you have? - Yes we have a general city cap and then other tiers for higher cost cities and international.  We have 5 tiers.
2. Do you have a hard stop daily meal limit for each tier? - Not a hard stop, but a warning to the user and if over the city cap that report will be audited.
3. How do you handle daily meal limits when visiting multiple cities with different city meal limit tiers? - We use the highest cost city as the cap
4. Can you share your Concur contact who helped or is helping you with meal tiers? - Support ticket 
5. Do you have any other unique processes you have implemented in your set-up to accomplish daily meal limit tier compliance? - We changed our international policy to a USD daily limit for ease of change
