Acting as a delegate

I have been acting as a delegate for my line manager while he is on leave.

 

I have switched to act as him and i can see an expense report that requires approval. However when i click on the expense, there is no option to approve? I only have 2 options: "send back to employee" or " notify approver"

 

Has anyone had this issue?

Hi @boydste . Do you have a  Expense Approver roles?

 

  • When assigning a Delegate, if they are to Approve on behalf of another employee, the desired Delegate must have Expense Approver roles

End users:

  1. Near the top right, click on your Initials and select Profile > Profile Settings
  2. On the left side of the screen under Expense Settings, click on Expense Delegates. For Invoice, under Invoice Settings, click on Invoice Delegates
  3. Under the Delegates tab, (which should be selected by default), click on Add
  4. Start typing in the Last Name of the user to be your delegate
  5. Select the user's name from the list
  6. Check the boxes to grant them the desired permissions
  7. Click Save

 

Administrators:

 

An Administrator with Employee Maintenance and Employee Administrator roles assigned can add Delegates by following the steps below:
 
  1. Select Home or Administration > Company Admin 
  2. Select User Administration
  3. Search for and open the user's profile for whom you want to assign a delegate to
  4. Scroll down to the Expense and Invoice Settings section and click on Expense Delegates 
  5. On the Expense Delegates popup, click Add
  6. Start typing the Last Name of the user to be set as the delegate
  7. Select the user's name from the list
  8. Check the boxes to grant them the desired permissions
  9. Click Save

@boydste you are set up to only Preview for Approver, not to actually approve. You site admin can make the change for you. If you don't know who your site admin is, please let me know.

thanks for the reply Kevin, I do not know who my administrator is to change it. If you can help that would be great.
