missing required field: gst rate

i have a gst rate of standard set for EVERYTHING but for some reason, SOME of my entries require me to go in, set the rate to zero, save, exit and then go back in and re-set it to standard other wise it decides i have no gst rate entered.

can anyone tell me why?

most of my entries are using the app and i only ever come into the web interface to fix the myriad of problems caused by the app being awful for someone who travels for a living.

@grazhopa would you be able to share some screenshots, please? 

Mobile app issues are difficult to troubleshoot since I don't have access to see what you are experiencing in the mobile app. I can only see what you see in the web version. 

The more details you can provide, the better. That is why some screenshots would help.
