You have exceeded the % threshold for manual changes to the exchange rate. Correct and re-save the e

I have created a travel allowance itinerary and after doing so, every daily allowance has been calculated and inserted automatically. I DID not change anything to the exchange rate and when opening the daily allowance it is grayed out and I am unable to change it.

This is blocking the entire expense report submission.

What I believe is happening, the system is pulling the exchange rate for my stay in Chicago from the first day of the trip.. and unfortunately it is using the same exchange rate for the whole trip.. so by the time the 4th of December is calculated, the exchange rate in the daily allowance is outside the allowed range of the actual exchange rate for that day

When I remove this completely and use only 4th of December, it is pulling a different exchange rate automatically than the one below

But it is not possible to manually adjust it .. maybe the solution is for someone with enough privilege to adjust the rate in my report so I can submit the report?

My report Number is TQGARK

@TheChosen what @PoojaKumatkar posted is correct. Your company has an audit rule that doesn't allow more than a 1% variance to the exchange rate. I have a name of someone for you to contact. I'm sending the name in a private message.

@TheChosen that is definitely a new issue for me. I am trying to get in touch with our Travel Allowance experts. Unfortunately, they are located in Europe and it is past their working hours. I'm trying to see if I can find someone local to me that might know about this.

Hi @KevinD,

This is being triggered by the standard exchange rate variance (10%) audit rule.

Based on my understanding, and referring to the article below, the Daily Allowance expense type should be excluded from the standard exchange rate variance (10%) audit rule, which should resolve the issue.

This rule should only be applicable for manually created expense entries.
