Trying to export from Expense a list of Clients

Has any one been able to export a list of Clients and or Department from list management in excel, when I follow the below instructions I'm not getting the complete information.

1. Access Cognos: Log into SAP Concur and navigate to Cognos, which you'll typically find in the Intelligence or Reporting section.
2. Create a new report: Start by creating a new report, usually through a "New +" button or similar option.
3. Select data source: Choose the "Concur Data warehouse" as your data source.
4. Choose a list widget: Select a widget type like "List" to display your data in a table format.
5. Locate list data: Browse through the Concur data warehouse folders to find your list data. It's usually located under Expense > Lists > Custom and Connected Lists.
6. Drag and drop fields: Drag the relevant fields (like List, List Item, List Item Short Code, etc.) into your report layout.
7. Filter for your client list: Apply a filter to the "List" column to pinpoint the specific client list you want to export.
8. Export the report: Once the report is generated, you should see an option to export it to Excel.

@Daniel1968 which of the two are you trying to get the list for, Clients, Departments or both? 

I take it that the by "not getting complete information" you can see that some of the clients and/or departments aren't showing? Are there many not showing or just a few? About how long of a list should these be and how many do you see being returned?

@KevinD : I am trying to extract Connected list information from Cognos. Please let me know is it possible to do so as I could not see much fields under [Expense].[Custom and Connected Lists].

@Venkat I would start with data items List and List Item. It will be tricky though because it will put all the list items in one data column, so you will need to get creative to separate out the different levels of the list so each level displays in its own column. You might need to do a Repeater Table or a Master Detail type report to achieve this.

@Venkat for this specifically...no. In all honesty, the Cognos reporting tool is designed more for analytics so companies can better track spend rather than pull list items and see how things are configured. Without creating a repeater table or Master Detail report, the returned data is going to show all list items, regardless of what level, in one column. This makes it a bit tricky to create this report and have each level of the list in its own column. You likely will need to create a few different queries in your report, one for each level of the list.
