Sent funds to wrong associate

Good morning, my Advisor was kind enough to offer to send me a bonus through his BDA via Concur, but accidentally sent it to the wrong associate (we have the same first/last name). The associate has since sent a check back to HR and they are debiting the taxes that were withheld. This was a couple of weeks ago. How long does it take to return the funds back to my Advisors BDA? As they say, good deeds don't go unpunished...this was to be my vacation funds that is coming up quickly.

@Kmsimmons forgive my ignorance here...what does BDA stand for? 🙂 

SAP Concur isn't used to send back funds, it is a reimbursement tool, so I'm not quite sure what your Advisor did. 

I'll await your reply about what BDA is and then I'll go from there.

Hi Kevin,

It is his Business Development Account (BDA) with Merrill Lynch. The BDA puts funds set aside for Advisors to pay for incidentals such as business lunches, mailings, and one-time associate bonuses. He used these funds to send me a one-time bonus through Concur, but chose the wrong Karen Simmons in the drop down of Associates to send it. It has been a couple of weeks now and I don't see the funds back in his Merrill Business Development account, but the associate that received it, has returned the net amount via to Merrill HR.  I called HR and they are very unhelpful and one of our managers indicated that the Advisors funds would be credited back to him. I am just wondering if Concur has any traction with this situation. Thank you!

I'm asking because Concur isn't used to send money to people, so I'd like to see if I can figure out what went down. 🙂
