SAP Concur Dashboard character limitations

Why are the input boxes limited to 32 characters? Especially for the Trip Request Name. We use the traveler's last name and then a description as a naming format.  If your traveler's last name is long or hyphenated then the description is lost.  How can we add more characters to these boxes? 
My company administrator states this is defined by the SAP Concur system, not them.

Hello @SJoseph221 ,

Only Custom Fields can be expanded, but standard fields cannot, and Trip Request Name is a mandatory standard field.

So what you can do is:

• Change the trip‑naming method to use a shorter name format (Trip Request Name)
• Create a Custom Field
