Request submission control

Hi, 

Is it possible to create a control in Concur when an employee can only submit a request one at a time? This means, user cannot submit a 2nd request if the first one is not yet completely approved?

• Should the restriction apply to a specific expense type or request type, or should employees be prevented from submitting any new expense report/request while an existing one is pending approval?
• Should the restriction remain in place until the existing report/request is fully approved?

The employees should be prevented from submitting any new expense report/request while an existing one is pending approval? And yes, the restriction should be remained in place until it's fully approved.

There is no confirmed standard configuration to prevent employees from submitting a second request

while the first is pending approval.

Raise an SAP Concur Support case to verify:

1. Whether a custom Request audit rule or validation can detect an existing pending request?
2. Whether your Concur edition supports blocking a second request until the first is fully approved?

Technically, this is not feasible, as the current system design does not provide any configuration setting to restrict request submissions based on the status of previously submitted requests.
