Over night processing window for import jobs

Hi all,

Do we know what is the over night processing window as I am confused whether it between 6PM to 6AM or 7PM to 7AM.

Timezone for the customer would be GMT.

so, if the timezone for another customer is PST then would the ONP window change?

Thanks in advance for your response

Regards

Amit

Title

What is the sequence of the job processing through ONP?

Details

I understand that we have a scheduled job processing time which normally happens overnight, but can you tell me if the system runs/process each job in order? Is there a sequence on this?

Resolution/Answer

The ONP (Over Night Processing) is a specific sequence of individual jobs that are always run in a predefined order. The chain is presented below:

1. Payment Hold
2. Payment Vendor Import
3. Extract
4. Custom Extract
5. Image Delivery Extract
6. Expense Pay Reimbursement
7. Analysis Extract
8. Payment Request Import
9. Request Assignment Timeout

10. Billing
11. List Import

12. Validation Import
13. Employee Import
14. Exchange Rates
15. Amex 1205 Loader
16. Credit Card Feed
17. Employee Daily Export to Travel
18. Expense Payment Confirmation
19. Location Import
20. Travel Allowance Import
21. Tax Import
22. GSA
23. Taxability Import
24. Vendor Payment Confirmation
25. Attendee Import
26. Authorization Request Expire
27. Email Reminder
28. Approval Time Expire
29. Request Expire
30. Archive
31. Employee Travel Points Feedback
32. Data Warehouse Expense Archive
33. Data Warehouse Gov Exp Archive
34. Data Warehouse Travel Archive
35. Purchase Order
36. Reporting DB Dump
37. Data Dump Extract
38. Purchase Receipt

Cause

The ONP is designed to execute jobs in a specific, predetermined order. This sequence cannot be modified.

Additional Information

Each Overnight Processing (ONP) time zone selected by the customer is mapped to a specific start time defined in Pacific Time (PST/PDT). These start times are designed to align with an approximate 7:00 PM start time in the selected ONP time zone when calculated based on Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Current ONP schedules for processing:

APA (GMT +8) - Asia Pacific West Time Zone (Hong Kong) - Job processing starts at 3:00 AM Pacific.
APA (GMT +10) - Asia Pacific East Time Zone (Sydney) - Job processing starts at 1:00 AM Pacific.
EMEA - Job processing starts at 11:00 AM Pacific.
US CST - Central Time Zone - Job processing starts at 5:00 PM Pacific.
US EST - Eastern Time Zone - Job processing starts at 4:00 PM Pacific.
US PST - Pacific Time Zone - Job processing starts at 7:00 PM Pacific.
Multitenant(US PST)  - Pacific Standard Time Zone - Job processing starts at 7:00 PM Pacific.
ConcurPay(US PST)  - Pacific Standard Time Zone - Job processing starts at 7:00 PM Pacific.

Note: That does not mean that every Entity Chain in that ONP will start at exactly at 7:00 PM in the selected ONP time zone, but the Entity Chain job is sent to queue at that time, then they wait for resources to become available.

Thanks!
Regards,
Pooja

Thanks for the response.

Can you please share the SAP Concur document which has this information.

Hi @amitsharma ,

This screenshot I took long back from one of the support article when I was working on my implementation projects. Currently I shared the same screenshot. This is a standard list of ONP schedules and cannot be customised as per our needs. We need to choose the one closest to our customer’s time zone.

If you still need that support article for your reference then let me know, I will share it tomorrow morning.
