IBCP- S/4 Hanna Public Cloud

Good Afternoon,

Has anyone implement IBCP payments through S/4 Hanna Public Cloud? If so, how do you handle paying based upon statement date or do you pay all open card transactions as they flow in?

@cmcewan if your card is set up as IBCP, then you should be waiting until users submit their transactions on reports to then know how much to send to the card issuer.  I know that doesn't fully answer your question, but we will need to see if anyone else replies that uses S/4 Hana Public Cloud.

Thank you,
Kevin

Hi @cmcewan

Topic: IBCP- S/4 Hanna Public Cloud

Please check the below. Hope it helps.

-----

For IBCP (Individually Billed, Company Paid) corporate cards integrated with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, the recommended payment approach depends on the card issuer's settlement terms and your organization's reconciliation requirements.

Two possible approaches:

  1. Statement-Based Payment: Accumulate corporate card transactions and reconcile them against the monthly card statement before initiating payment.
  2. Transaction-Based Processing: Post individual card transactions as they are received, while scheduling payment according to the issuer's agreed settlement cycle.

My recommendation: Use transaction-level posting for timely accounting and reconciliation, but schedule actual payments based on the card issuer's statement due date or contractual payment terms.

In S/4HANA Public Cloud, confirm the supported integration and payment configuration, including liability accounts, payment runs, statement reconciliation, and duplicate-payment controls.

Key distinction: Posting transactions and paying the card issuer are separate processes.

This approach supports accurate financial reporting, controlled cash flow, and reliable corporate card reconciliation.

Thanks & Regards
