Expenses

Having recently joined, I have completed my first expenses claim, which have all been approved. The status is "approved and in accounting review" what does this mean and how long can I expect to wait for the money to be paid.  (as of yesterday 17/11/25)

Mainly so I know when is best to put my expenses in and I have a realistic idea of timescales. It will generally be Circa £1000 per month, Much appreciated!!!

@MattyB the approved and in accounting review is usually the last approval step needed before reimbursement takes place. I say usually, as the total approval workflow varies from company to company. We cannot say how long it will be in this status as it depends on the team at your company and how often they go in and do approvals. Some do it daily, some do it every other day and some weekly. So, this will determine when you can expect to be paid. I wish I had a more concrete answer for you, but unfortunately it is up to the team at your company that does the approvals. 

 

I would suggest asking your direct manager if they have any idea or how long it took their expense reports to get reimbursed. Asking someone internally is more likely to get you a better answer.
