European E-Invoicing Requirements - Any converter to change from XML to readable PDF?

Hi All,

If end users receive only the XML formats (such as CII or UBL) from vendors instead of a readable PDF version, does Concur provide any inbuilt functionality to convert these XML invoices into readable PDF documents? For example, in the SAP DRC Cockpit, we have functionality that allows users to view both the raw XML and a human-readable PDF version for all incoming and outgoing invoices. I wanted to check whether Concur offers a similar capability for invoice visualization and readability.

Any other workaround to resolve this issue?

@Tarun309 I've not heard of any functionality within our products to do any file converting. 

I can only think of using an outside file converter to accomplish what you need. 

Seems strange to me that a vendor would only provide an xml version and not something a bit more readable.

Thanks, Kevin for your response. Well, online converter only puts the XML code into PDF - which is not readable. I am not sure how other customers are solving this problem.

Hi @Tarun309 

I agree with @KevinD, XML (FacturX, UBL, CII) are electronic formats and as such should transit through electronic systems not be given to an employee. 

Now depending what country you are in, we have built with SAP CONCUR webservices the capability to transform those XML format not only in PDF but in actual Expense lines to be digested by the employee concur profile.

Thanks Anthony - Can you please provide more information about this integration? Is it only for B2B or also support employee reimbursements?

It is mainly built to support employee reimbursements and facilitate reconciliation between e-invoices in the PA and Expense lines in SAP Concur. (A bit like Central Reconciliation)
