Hi @mtahir_1974 ,

Your screenshot is cropped hence, not sure whether it has error or warning msg.

As part of the default setup/design, this is only a warning, so you can still proceed and update your email address with a different domain. However, it is a error message, then you need to strictly register your profile with company domain.

How it works:

  • Every company has configured a preferred/expected domain (e.g., @example.com)
  • The system detects that your email is outside that domain
  • But it does NOT strictly block it

What happens:

  • If you click OK - The external email is accepted and saved
  • If you click Cancel - You go back and can change it to a company-domain email

Why this warning exists

Companies use this setup to:

  • Encourage use of official corporate emails
  • Avoid issues with:
    • SSO (Single Sign-On)
    • Identity matching
    • Compliance / audit tracking

Possible side effects of keeping external email

Even if allowed, you might run into:

  • Login issues if your company uses SSO tied to corporate email
  • Missing or filtered notifications
  • Admin/audit flags in some organizations

I am also attaching similar community post link for your further reference.

Note - If your company is not using SSO, you can disregard the potential issues mentioned above.

If this answers your query, then please mark solution as accepted.

Thanks!

Pooja
