Claims sent from concur to our accounting system need to be cancelled in Concur

We are having issues where expense claims sent from concur to our accounting system need to be cancelled. We have been told that the status cant be changed and the claim cant be cancelled once sent across to the accounting system, but there is sometimes a genuine need so would like to understand what best practice is in this scenario. We are worried about users seeing claims that state they are 'sent for payment' and reconciliation between systems. Are there any best practices/experience that anyone can share?

once the expense report has been posted in your financial system and Concur gets update with the Payment Status of posted, there are no changes allowed since there is no a posting document from your financial system associated to the expense report.  Our solution is to create a negative report of the incorrect report so that can be posted and clear out the incorrect claim

@JamesHam what @tstagliano mentioned is correct. Unless you are using our native ICS, you cannot change an expense report once it is fulled approved and sent to accounting.

If I may ask, what is the reason for fully approved reports that were sent to your accounting system needing to be cancelled? I'm asking because maybe there is a way to prevent this going forward.

Thank you,
