Can Company Info be expanded by default (instead of compressed to the first few lines)?

Company Info is a very useful tool to get some important info out to large groups of users (or all users) as an easier alternative than emailing them, but the problem is that the Company Info section is compressed by default; that is, it only displays the first few lines, and the user is required to click on the Read More icon in order to read the entire set of messages.  The problem with that is obvious - people won't take the time or the initiative to click on that icon, unless they happen to see something in those first few lines to spark their interest.  If, however, that section is expanded by default, then they would have to page down past it to get to some of their normal working tools, and with (at the least) a screen full of info displayed, they might actually see and read what you want them to.

So the question is - is there a way to expand Company Info by default?  I'm guessing no, but will hold out hope.

I have searched for it and not found it, but I'm getting older and may have missed it.

Hello @Rhoogerh ,

As you already suspected, SAP Concur does not currently provide a standard setting to have Company Info displayed expanded by default. Users must click Read More to view the full content.

Some time ago, I submitted an enhancement request through the Customer Influence portal, suggesting that he height of the visible part without displaying the “Read more” button be customizable. The idea received around 30 votes, but Concur ultimately marked it as "Not Planned". Their explanation was:

"SAP Concur is releasing a new design for Company Notes in 1Q2026 which will allow more flexibility and usability. The new design isn't using a single box, so increasing the height of the current box isn't part of the new design."

Customer Influence-Improvement Request ID 324738-Change Height of the visible part of the Company No...

However, from what we have been able to see so far, the behavior and visible size of the section remain largely unchanged.

If you submit an enhancement request through Customer Influence, please share the link in this thread so I can vote for it.

In our company, whenever a communication is especially important, we try to place the most critical information within the first few visible lines. We also reinforce the message through email and other corporate communication channels to ensure it reaches as many users as possible.

I imagine your organization is using a similar approach, as it is currently the most effective way to increase the visibility of important communications until a more flexible configuration option becomes available.

@Rhoogerh first, I love the graphic you used.

Second, if we expanded this by default, my educated guess would be most people would be up in arms that it takes up too much space on the home screen. I think it would be pandemonium. Just my opinion based on working at Concur over 17 years and seeing lot of changes and customer reactions to them. 🙂

Thank you,

@KevinD . . . yeah, I get that about the default setting . . . but it would be nice to have a switch so we can choose.  No worries . . . I'll figure out a way to grab their attention, I pretty much always do.  😉

@Rhoogerh what is it that you want to convey to your users? Also, do you use Concur Travel?

No, we don't use Concur Travel, so that option is not available to me.  I just want to have the ability to communicate anything important if needed or desired . . . like "the fiscal year is ending next week, so get all of your expenses submitted no later than XX/XX/XXXX".   You know, the usual.
