Community Discussion Areas

Can the Community Admins/Managers move discussions from one area to another?  It seems that sometimes a post might be more suited to an area other than where it is . . . for instance, a question about Expense in the Travel product discussion area.  It would be great if the Admins, upon finding a misplaced discussion, could move it to the correct area.

Hi @tjbmoreno,

Good point!

Yes, we can move a post to a new board if we think it is better suited elsewhere. We always message the original poster so they know this has been done as well. If you see a post that seems like it could fit better on a different board feel free to send one of the Community Managers a private message about the post.

@AshleyB Do you know if this type of site could use bots for something like this, similar to reddit?

@tjbmoreno A bot is an algorithm that can monitor this type of thing and alert the OP (original poster) if their conversation belongs elsewhere etc.

Hi @AmberLee,

I love where your head is at! Automation is makes things run faster and better. Unfortunately, that function is not available in the Community yet. I will pass on this suggestion along to our platform provider.
