Assistance Creating Custom Concur Intelligence Report for Reconciliation

I am currently using SAP Concur Intelligence (Cognos 11) to support monthly reconciliations. The standard reports available to me (such as Credit Card Transactions) provide useful card transaction information but do not include all of the data required to complete the reconciliation process in a single report. I am looking to create (or obtain access to create) a custom report that combines the following information.

1. Report Name
2. Report Status
3. Business Purpose
4. Engagement Number
5. Internal Order
6. Allocation Code
7. Allocation Description

@ThauanyMoore my one question to those who post questions about building Cognos reports is this...What is your level of Cognos report building experience on a scale of 1-10? A 1 would be "what is Cognos?" to a 10 that would be "I can build Cognos reports easily". 

Where would you say you fall on this scale? Also, two of the data items Engagement Number and Internal Order are custom fields, so you would need to know which fields were used to capture this data. You would need to look at the Configuration Report or go into Forms and Fields (if you have access) to see what the default field labels are. Are you familiar with the Configuration Report and/or Forms and Fields? 

I'll await your reply and then go from there. Oh, one other thing...have you attended any of our Free Cognos webinars?

Please can you tell me how we access the Cognos Webinars, we are really struggling to build any reports at all.  We have been asked to identify spend by expense type and employee which I thought would be a standard report, but does not appear to be available.

I think once you take this class, you will see that showing spend by employee and expense type is a pretty straightforward report to build. 

If you look in the Standard Reports folder there should be two reports in there that should give you what you are looking for: Expense Entry Analysis (grouped by Employee) and Expense Entry Analysis (grouped by Expense Type). Give those a try.

I would rate myself as a Level 3. I know what Cognos is and have been exploring it, but I still feel that I haven't been able to find the answers I'm actually looking for. I participated in a webinar and found it helpful; however, some of the features and options that were demonstrated were not available in my environment, which made it difficult to follow along and apply what was being shown.

@ThauanyMoore of the items you listed, you can use the Search option that appears above all the data items to find everything in your list except number 4 and 5 as these are custom to your company. 

You would need to use the Configuration report or Forms and Fields to see which generic field labels are being used for Internal Order and Engagement Number. They likely will be found under data item labels such as; Custom 01, Custom 02 or one of the other Custom data items. If you don't have access to the Configuration Report or to Forms and Fields, the other options you have are:

1. Ask your site admin if they can look these up for you.

2. Build a new report, add several of the Custom data items to the report, then run the report to see which one shows Internal Order and Engagement Number. It is a bit of trial and error. Once you find them, make note of them for future reference.
