The Travel Allowance Service administrator will see two new configuration values for existing rules which add parameters for minimum and maximum length of trip in minutes instead of days.
The two new value configurations are included in the existing rules as follows:
- Several locations in a reimbursement interval, Domestic: Rate of the last location, but highest rate of all locations in case of a 2-day trip without overnight
- Several locations in a reimbursement interval, Foreign: Rate of the last location, but giving preference to the last foreign location, but highest rate of all locations in case of a trip less than 24 hours without overnight
Itinerary Coverage Option for First and Last Day of Trip
A new option is available that applies when the administrator is configuring start and end times which allow or disallow allowances based on an itinerary’s overlap of these set times.
The Travel Allowance Service admin working with a rate bundle (Add; Edit) may elect to set a start and end time, in minutes, using options in the Time Spent on Trip in a Day section of the page.
This time range is measured systematically by Expense against the traveler’s itinerary for any overlap which, depending on the overlap, results in an allowance being allowed or disallowed based on the selection of an option under Itinerary Coverage.
The itinerary must not cover any part of the period between start and end time is a new option available under Itinerary Coverage.
If enabled - and the itinerary overlaps any time within the range - the allowance is not honored.
For example, if the set times are 12:00 and 19:00, the itinerary must not fall within these times.
