Overview
Currently, SAP Concur customers book SNCF rail tickets using legacy direct connect. While functional, this direct connection offers limited rail access, fewer fare options, and does not support cross-border travel efficiently. SAP Concur is transitioning from legacy direct connect for SNCF to a new rail aggregator, Trainline. This Trainline integration is already open for migration and the decommission of legacy SNCF direct connect is planned for October 30, 2026.
What is changing?
- SNCF content will be migrated from legacy Direct Connect integration to the Trainline aggregator. A popular European aggregator, Trainline consolidates data from operators like SNCF, Deutsche Bahn, and Trenitalia, enabling travelers to search and book cross-border train journeys seamlessly.
- Customers will gain access to additional French and cross-border rail carriers via Trainline.
- Users can now compare fares and schedules from multiple rail operators directly within Concur Travel.
- The legacy SNCF Direct Connect will be decommissioned on October 30, 2026.
- Travel Management Companies (TMCs) will manage Trainline contracts and configurations to enable access.
Why is this change occurring?
This transition aligns with rail strategy for new Concur Travel to expand content access, streamline the booking experience, and provide seamless travel management with the new rail infrastructure.

Action needed
- The upgrade to the new experience will be seamless for all customers currently booking SNCF on Concur Travel.
