CONCUR MOBILE APP

July-August-September 2020 release

Improvements to the SAP Concur mobile app include:

  1. Operating System Update – iPhone/iPad
  2. Travel Allowance Without Overnight Option
  3. Concur Drive Traffic Mode Option
  4. Travel Allowance Multiple Itineraries in One Expense Report Feature
  5. New Report Entry Experience

Operating System Update – iPhone/iPad

SAP Concur updates the minimum operating system regularly in order to ensure the best possible experience for mobile users. With this release, SAP Concur will update the minimum operating system to iOS 12.

The April release (9.80) is the final release for version 11 of the iPhone / iPad operating system.

Please ensure that the operating system on all user devices has been updated to at least iOS 12.

Be aware that users will not be forced to upgrade their device’s operating system, but users on older operating systems will not be able to install versions of the SAP Concur mobile app after v9.81.

New Travel Allowance Without Overnight Option

Mobile app users now have access to the new Without Overnight option while creating a Travel Allowances itinerary in the SAP Concur mobile app. This new option allows mobile users to create a new itinerary based on 24-hour intervals. The Without Overnight option is disabled by default.

Example

A traveler starts a trip on Monday at 7 PM and returns on Tuesday at 9 AM. The traveler selects Without Overnight.

Since travel allowances are calculated based on 24- hour intervals, enabling Without Overnight will hide the option to adjust the accommodation type of a daily allowance. If the Without Overnight option is subsequently disabled, the allowances will be recalculated based on calendar days. Also, the Lodging Type field on the Daily Allowance page will appear again.

New Concur Drive Traffic Mode Option

SAP Concur mobile app users now have access to the new Traffic Mode option in Concur Drive. By enabling this option, the time allowance to terminate a trip - when detecting no movement - increases from 5 minutes (default) to 10 minutes.

The Traffic Mode option is disabled by default and user selection is saved as part of the local profile settings. This option is available in the Drive Settings menu for both the User-Initiated and Scheduled modes.

This option provides more Drive tracking time for users who may encounter heavy traffic or need to make frequent short stops during their trips.

NOTE: Enabling this option may cause a delay in ending the user's trip. The user can use the manual stop option as an alternative to end their trip sooner.

New Concur About Drive Page

SAP Concur mobile app users now have access to the new Help icon on the Drive Settings screen.

With this new icon, users can access the new About Drive screen with:

  • Product Tips
  • What's New
  • FAQs
  • How Drive Works sections

New Travel Allowance Multiple Itineraries in One Expense Report Feature

SAP Concur mobile users can now add multiple Travel Allowance itineraries to one expense report within the mobile app.

Prior to this release, users could only add one Travel Allowance itinerary to an expense report.

New Report Entry Experience

SAP Concur mobile app users gained access to the new report entry experience within the mobile app. The new user interface is available exclusively in "preview mode" in implementation environments.

Once SAP has received and addressed customer feedback, a migration of this experience -from implementation environments to production environments - will be scheduled. In the meantime, customers can escalate any detected issues to SAP Concur support.

This new experience can be enabled / disabled via a toggle on the Additional Features screen in the mobile settings. The toggle is titled Report Entry Experience for the Android mobile devices or Expense Report (New) / Expense Claim (New) [US / UK] for iOS mobile devices.

The new expense details screen will not appear, if the user adds the following expense entries to an expense report:

  • Personal Car Mileage, Company Car Mileage,
  • Japan Public Transport expense types,
  • Expenses created via itineraries.
