Q4 2024 New Concur Travel Release Recap

Beginning December 14, 2024, the latest updates for Q4 2024 will be rolling out in the new Concur Travel to eligible customers

What’s new in Concur Travel?

The Q4 release to the new Concur Travel is ready for qualifying customers to experience including:

  • New updates coming with the Q4 product release beginning December 14, 2024:
    • Support of new Air Content: Travelport+ GDS.
    • Upgraded integration with Amtrak (US rail): Available to all customers globally, regardless of their point of sale.
    • Multi-city air searches: Users will be able to plan travel to multiple destinations on different dates in a single trip.
    • Flight Recommendations to users: Users will be provided with a personalized policy-compliant flight option based on company and user preferences.

  • Major content and features released ahead of the Q4 product release, include:
    • Support of new Air Content: Direct connect with Ryanair

  • Market expansion
    • Q4 2024 will see the release of the new Concur Travel for qualifying customers on Standard edition, and for qualifying customers using Sabre or Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS) in LATAM points of sale: Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, Guyana, Bolivia, Ecuador, Uruguay, Paraguay, Suriname, French Guiana, Puerto Rico.
  • Automatic Upgrades:
    • As each GDS experience matures, we have started to automatically upgrade to the use of the new Concur Travel experience and limit support of the legacy experience for select customers and markets. Starting on November 1st, one or more of your travel configurations may become eligible for an automatic upgrade to the new Concur Travel experience.
    • Additionally, to ensure customers are not blocked from automatically upgrading to the new Concur Travel experience, customer configurations with no Southwest Airlines bookings in the last twelve months will have the Southwest Airlines Direct Connect disabled with the January release.  Southwest Airlines content is now available via all the GDS sources, requiring no action, and Early Bird Check-In purchases can be made via Southwest Airlines website or app after ticketing has occurred.
      • Please refer to the new Concur Travel migration FAQ for more details and what to expect.
      • Customers will be notified and provided additional details when their configurations are eligible.

What’s in it for you?

The main outcomes customers experience with the Q4 2024 release of the new Concur Travel are the following:

  • We successfully expanded the new travel booking experience for qualifying customers using Sabre or Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS) in all the remaining EMEA markets that were not included in the June release and delivered some key features such as trip change and a new air matrix.
  • Expanding content: Upgraded punch-out integration to German rail, Travelfusion content for low-cost carriers, and also customers with Travelport+ can now utilize the new platform for their hotel bookings if they qualify and if their market is available.
  • Continue to build content for hotel providers, improving access to hotel providers and creating more robust content.
