Q2 2024 New Concur Travel Release Recap
Beginning June 25, 2024, the latest updates for Q2 2024 will be rolling out in the new Concur Travel to eligible customers.
What’s new in Concur Travel?
The Q2 release to the evolution of Concur Travel is live and ready for qualifying customers to experience including:
- Expansion to new markets including Austria, Benelux, France, Germany, Italy, Nordics (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway), Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland.
- Please Note: Customers using Amadeus GDS in points of sale that had already been activated with Sabre (United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom and Ireland) will also be eligible.
- Amadeus content for Car and Air (including NDC)
- Travelfusion content for low-cost carriers: This will not be available with the June Release and is planned to be released a few weeks later. Please check the Release Notes and the forthcoming July Product Roadmap update for additional guidance on details and specific timing.
- Direct Hotel content release (Hotel Connector): HRS
- Virtual payment with Conferma for both GDS and Hotel Connector
- Trip Holding giving users the ability to place Sabre EDIFACT air reservations on user hold
- Request integration on mobile
- UX updates including trip sharing via MS Teams chat
What’s in it for you?
The main outcomes customers experience with the Q2 2024 release of new Concur Travel are the following:
- As we expand to additional content sources and markets this year, our EMEA region will be the next one to experience the benefits of this new experience. With the Q1 2024 releases, SAP Concur reached another milestone for the new Concur Travel experience as we successfully delivered an upgraded Rail booking experience for all our customers using UK Rail via Trainline and Renfe, and expanded the end-to-end enhancements to the Air, Hotel, and Car rental booking experiences for qualifying customers using Sabre GDS from Canada, Mexico, UK and Ireland points of sale. In Q2 2024, EMEA region will begin to see the release of significant enhancements to the booking experience for Amadeus GDS, including Air (EDIFACT and NDC) and Car rental.
- Expanding content and markets: customers with Amadeus in additional countries can now utilize the new platform, such as multinationals with a suitable configuration or customers based in those regions.
- Content for hotel providers is continuing to be built, improving access to hotel providers and creating more robust content.
