SAP Concur is enhancing the Travel Policy Administration UI to provide a more intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly experience, starting with the Rule Class Administration page.
Overview
As part of the ongoing commitment SAP Concur has to modernize and enhance the customer experience for all users, the Concur Travel Policy Administration UI is being redesigned to deliver a more intuitive and efficient experience for administrators. In addition to providing the latest technical and accessibility standards, the redesign will offer a more streamlined and user-friendly UI that also enables easier customization and integration with other SAP tools.
The first update for Travel Policy Administration introduces a modernized interface for administrators that makes it easier to manage travel rules across configurations. This initial step is part of the overall focus on improving usability, flexibility, and future scalability for the benefit of travel managers and administrators—making the job of managing and administrating travel easier.
Please note that additional Travel Policy Admin enhancements are planned for future releases.
Features & Updates to Travel Rules UI
Here are the new features included in the first update to the Travel Policy Admin experience.
- New Rule Class Administration page that provides a clear summary of both newly created and legacy rule classes in a company and their associated travel configurations. This new page enables customers to easily:
- View all rule classes within a company
- Search and sort rule classes for efficient navigation
- Edit Rules, Edit Approver, Edit Rule Class, and View Rule Class History
- Rule Class Management updates to:
- Create new rule classes and assign them to travel configurations
- Create and edit rules within a rule class. Users can easily search for rule parts of interest by typing in the Attributes field
- View active rules
- Filter rules by vertical
- Migrated Rule Classes enhancements for:
- Independent Rail Rules
- Previously shared Air and Rail rules to appear under both categories after migration

New Rule Class Application
These updates apply to all rule classes within travel configurations that have all verticals (or all vertical except Rail) enabled in the new Concur Travel. Also, existing Exclusions and High impact limitations will still be considered.
Note: For companies with multiple travel configurations, some rule classes may be migrated while others remain on the legacy system depending on the travel configuration.
Timelines
Migrations will be rolled out following these dates:
- Standard edition Sabre customers – August 8, 2025
- Standard edition Amadeus customers – August 15, 2025
- Professional edition Sabre customers with no more than 10 rule classes – September 2025, TBD
- Professional edition Amadeus customers with no more than 10 rule classes – September 2025, TBD
