SAP Concur is enhancing the Travel Payment Administration UI to provide a more intuitive, efficient and user-friendly experience, starting with the Car Direct Billing and Virtual Payments for Air.
Overview
As part of the ongoing commitment SAP Concur has to modernize and enhance the customer experience for all users, the Concur Travel Payment Administration UI is being redesigned to deliver a more intuitive and efficient experience for administrators. In addition to meeting the latest technical and accessibility standards, the redesign will offer a more streamlined and user-friendly UI that also enables easier customization and integration with other SAP tools.
The first update for Travel Payment Administration introduces a modernized interface for administrators that makes it easier to manage Car Direct Billing and Virtual Payments for Air. Please note that additional Travel Payment Admin enhancements are planned for future releases.
Features & Updates to Direct Billing for Car (Professional Edition only)
New Concur Travel has been updated to support Direct Billing for Car as payment for the following car rental companies: Enterprise, National, Hertz, Avis and Budget – when sourced via Sabre GDS or Amadeus GDS. Travelport+ and the Hertz and Sixt Direct Connect channels will be supported at a later date.
New administration features have been released to support Direct Billing for Car Accounts. For end users there will be no changes. Here is what is changing for the Admin Experience:
- Administrator Experience: The new Forms of Payment page can be navigated to from two locations, both leading to the Forms of Payment Account Billing tab.
- Corporate Discounts page: On the Corporate Discounts page, in the Car Discounts section, a new hyperlink is used to navigate to the new settings.
- New Administration navigation menu: the Form of Payment link is included in the new navigation options.

Features & Updates to Virtual Payments for Air (Professional Edition only)
Released in June 2026, new Concur Travel was updated to include Virtual Payments (Conferma) for flights sourced via the Air Connectors and Travelfusion. This will allow customers to book and pay for flights through Virtual Payment cards instead of having to use other forms of payment such as centrally-billed Corporate Ghost Cards or personal credit cards.
Administrators will have the ability to configure Virtual Payment (Conferma accounts) and payment rules for travelers to purchase these flights. Concur Travel introduces new administration methods for configuring forms of payment, payment controls, and rules for business logic. These changes will simplify and enhance the configuration of how payments are used by travelers, including :
- New payments configuration screens
- Virtual payments administration
- Payment Conditions

Why is this change occurring?
The Travel Payment Administration interface is being redesigned to provide administrators with a more intuitive and efficient payment experience. This change is part of SAP ’s ongoing commitment to modernize and enhance the admin and user experience
Timelines
Migrations will be rolled out following these dates:
Direct Billing for Car (Professional Edition only): The Migration and Rollout occur in two phases:
- Phase 1: Activation of the new Account Billing Administration UI (March 2026).
- Phase 2: Account Billing settings on the new admin UI will take effect on the booking and payment workflow (July 2026).
Virtual Payments for Air and Virtual Payments Administration (Professional Edition only): The implementation and rollout occur in four phases.
- Phase 1: General availability of the new Virtual Payments Administration UI to all Concur Travel Professional customers, but without effect on the booking and payment workflow (March 2026).
- Phase 2: Virtual Payment settings on the new Virtual Payments Administration UI will take effect on the booking and payment workflow for flights sourced via the Air connectors and Travelfusion. Onboarding new Virtual Payment Billing Accounts for Flight with new Virtual Payment Administration (June 2026).
